LanLens Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2, 2026
LanLens does not collect your data
There are no analytics, no tracking, no ads, and no accounts. LanLens has no servers that receive information about you or your network.
What we collect
Nothing. LanLens contains no analytics or tracking software and sends no usage data, identifiers, or personal information to us or to anyone else.
Where your data stays
Everything LanLens finds — the devices on your network, their names, and your scan history — is stored on your device.
If you turn on iCloud Sync (it's optional and off by default), that data syncs through your own iCloud account so it stays consistent across your Apple devices. It's stored in your private iCloud database and protected by Apple's encryption, so we can't see it. This sync is handled entirely by Apple and is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Permissions LanLens asks for
- Local Network. Needed to scan your Wi-Fi network and find the devices on it. Scanning happens entirely on your device, and the results never leave it — except through your own iCloud, if you turn on sync.
- Location. Used only to read the name of the Wi-Fi network you're on, so your scan history can be kept separate for each network. This happens on your device; your location is never collected or shared.
Purchases
LanLens Pro is purchased or subscribed through the App Store. Payments are processed by Apple — we never receive or store your payment details.
Deleting your data
Your data lives on your device and in your own iCloud, so you stay in control of it:
- Delete individual devices, networks, or scans inside the app.
- Turn off iCloud Sync to stop syncing, and remove LanLens data from iCloud in Settings → [your name] → iCloud.
- Delete the app to remove all of its data from your device.
Changes to this policy
If we make changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
